Check out this episode of “219 West”, a student run investigative show from CUNY. One of the journalist, John Sodaro, did a story on MMA in NYC in which he followed me back in March for the Fighters Source card, from the weigh-in’s to the fight. He also interviewed MMA journalist Jim Genia. Hope you guys like it!

The late Rolls Gracie training with Rickson Gracie.
Very rare footage. The legend of Rolls is so nuts that it almost seems mythological. I always thought the stories of him tooling Rickson were exaggerated. But this video confirms the legend. This is piece of history right here. It really breaks my heart that Rolls died so young. He was the greatest of his time and could’ve been the greatest of all time.
RIP Rolls.
This is from the new (seven years in the making) documentary called “the gracies and the birth of vale tudo.” It’s very good and definitely worth watching but very biased and not 100% accurate. The main value of it is the rare footage like this that they found.Posted on May 11, 2013 via I'm just a little bit of everything... with 15 notes

Here’s the notorious Pavel Tsatsouline’s “Enter The Kettelbell.” A great and at times funny overview of the basic KB exercises. I haven’t done many things in my life other than long sparring sessions that are as exhausting and morally depleting as KB training. I think that’s why I like training with the kettlebell so much. Watch then video and learn how to properly throw the bell around so you don’t get hurt.
Also, I’ve noticed when I talk to people about KB training they tell me they would like to start but the bells are so expensive. Yes and no, if you’re buying online, yes the shipping will most likely be more costly than the bell itself, but, they last FOREVER! You can pass them down to your children. There’s no moving parts or fancy gimmicks on them to break down, just an iron bowling ball with a handle. You can say that about a Bowflex, kettlebells are a great investment into becoming more manly.

“Let me tell you the story of Right Hand, Left Hand. It’s a tale of good and evil. Hate: it was with this hand that Cane iced his brother. Love: these five fingers, they go straight to the soul of man. The right hand: the hand of love. The story of life is this: static. One hand is always fighting the other hand, and the left hand is kicking much ass. I mean, it looks like the right hand, Love, is finished. But hold on, stop the presses, the right hand is coming back. Yeah, he got the left hand on the ropes, now, that’s right. Ooh, it’s a devastating right and Hate is hurt, he’s down. Left-Hand Hate KOed by Love.“

Chael Sonnen talks about confidence to Urah Hall and the real life choice of failure and matter what we as athletes have to realize that it is there but we can choose to go with it or go down the path of victory and success but there will always be that second guessing yourself we just need to look deep in and admit it to yourself and find the answer and things will come to light
